The failure of Zero must never dissuade King Khan from trying new ventures

The commercial loss faced by Zero is undeniable and whether or not it has any effect on Bollywood’s business, it should never cast an impact on SRK’s stature as the King of Bollywood. He has built an empire that can easily endure a few knockdowns in his search for doing quality roles. It has been quite some time that the failure surrounding Zero’s failure has sedimented now and he is all set to try his luck in Shahrukh Khan latest movies. It’s true that Anand L. Rai’s directorial venture centering the 53 year old evergreen actor has not been able to keep up to the expectations of the class as well as the mass alike. The failure was so unexpected that it led to the debate of the validity of the three irreplaceable Khans- Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir who have conquered the B-town over 25 years.

Effect of Zero on the future of Shah Rukh Khan’s heroism

It is important to note that Zero was not a movie of brilliance and therefore, there is no reason to think that its commercial collapse would cause the class of audience to become hopeless. Every component of the film, right from sloppy direction to loose screenplay had its share in bringing about its doom. But none should find fault with Shah Rukh Khan in opting for such a film as thrilling and out of the box characters has always been catching his attention. Thus, his fan followers might well expect him to go for new and different Shahrukh Khan latest movies with ease.

Shah Rukh Khan and his bright individualism

A true Shah Rukh Khan devotee would always remember him for one thing- trying to take up roles that are always expected of a superstar. He became world famous through the characterization of Raj or Rahul which the mass gobbled up like anything. But a section of his fans always want him to be a cut above the mundane and do something that would add meaning to his ever shining image. The excellent actor in him should propel him to take up more Shahrukh Khan latest movies by bringing forth the hidden actor that he has always been.

In Zero, we have seen one of the greatest heroes of Bollywood to play the character of a vertically challenged individual who fell in love with a pretty girl hopelessly wheelchair bound. She was affected with cerebral palsy and the hero falls for her even though he was vertically challenged. Though the majority of critics have agreed that neither such kind of stories nor characterization works in the Hindi film industry and Bollywood demands something unique. This is because the audiences of Hindi cinema have never succeeded in loving or admiring a hero with any kind of shortcomings. It can never be said that Shah Rukh Khan failed to play the role; he outdid his part and therein lies his success as a larger than life hero of Indian cinema.
